Project SAFER Educational Foundation
Project SAFER Educational Foundation is a contract provider with Ventura County Behavioral Health, Alcohol and Drug Programs, Prevention Services.
Project SAFER Educational Foundation focuses its efforts to reduce harms associated with alcohol and other drug use by providing Responsible Beverage Service training to special event volunteers, bartenders and food servers to enhance safe and legal alcohol sales and service practices in an effort to reduce alcohol- related violence, injury, vehicle crashes, unlawful alcohol service, and underage access to alcohol. Additionally, Project SAFER provides alcohol and other drug education at community events and on college campuses in an effort to increase knowledge of binge drinking and prevent incidents of impaired driving by alcohol and other impairing substances.
Project SAFER also provides Opioid Overdose Prevention and Rescue education throughout Ventura County in an effort to raise awareness of, and help reverse the current epidemic of heroin and prescription drug abuse and overdose deaths.
